17th April 2012- Bush With The Tush, Recruitment Agencies and Tanning Update

Hey everybody, how's things crackalackin'? For ages I was sure I'd invented that word, or at least popularised it but apparently it's been around for a very long time so I guess I'm pretty late to the party in reality. I've had a pretty busy day today. I looked for jobs at the job centre, went to the swimming pool, the hot tub, the sauna and then the pool again and then went up to visit my grandma to see how she was doing. She's regressed a good bit, and we're beginning to believe in ourselves that it mightn't be fair for her to continue living with this level of brain damage, she seriously isn't going to just wake up and be her normal self any time soon but I don't want to dwell on that.

The only reason why I'm mentioning my day is because it was so busy I ended up having to do my normal blog commenting pretty late on in the evening, at around five. Ever since I did the commenting there is one thing that I haven't been able to get out of my head and that's hearing these words...

"At the Bush with the tush
Bush with the tush
You never know
Who will show
In the bush with the tush
Bush with the tush"

I have to blame the incomparable Patrick Hatt for this because in his most recent post earlier on today he posted a piece of music that's one of the catchiest things I've ever hear that he actually turned into a propersong and uploaded onto Youtube, check it out:

It's so good isn't it?

In some other short news I decided to sign up to a recruitment agency that was recommended to me by an old friend. I have to use the word friend kind of loosely in reality though because our friendship is strained for various, mysterious reasons I may talk about in a future post if we need to pull our resources together like I thought. I was just wondering if any of you had experience with recruitment agencies? Do you think it'll help me find employment quicker or not? I do value the advice of you guys, trust me. Today I actually decided to leave tan beds alone for the time being after you all told me they weren't the best ways of getting tans, although fearing I would look camper than a box of tutus through going into a tanning salon by myself might have helped too haha. Some day I may get a tan through those kind of beds but I'm more hoping the sun will actually start to shine stronger and more frequently even though that may be wishful thinking as despite it being sunny at intervals, I still find it bitterly cold!

Anyway, I'm off to eat the rest of these Tayto (Northern Irish only crisps guys), crisps that are shaped like chips if that makes any sense and then brush my teeth and go to bed. Tomorrow I'm hitting the hospital, the gym and hoping that a job turns up soon for myself have a great Wednesday everybody!

  1. Crisps that sound like chips sound pretty good. I'm really sorry about your grandma. Sometimes she sounds like she's going to do better, and then she regresses again. As for recruitment agencies I'm afraid I've never used one, so can't be much help there.

  2. hugs after having my grandma suffer from dementia i know how hard it is and there's no words to say that can make it better.

  3. LMAO I really got that stuck in your head huh?...hahaha...awesome that you liked it so much.

As far the recruitment goes I have no idea, but I wouldn't think it could hurt, could it? I mean it's another chance at a job.

  4. I don't think I like the song. haha, no offense :)

as for the agency, I think they can help you find a job quicker because that's what they do. besides, it's a less hassle for you also, I think?

as for your grandma, I am still praying for her :)

what's with tanning anyway? who cares if you're pale :)

  5. This is a good common sense Blog. Very helpful to one who is just finding the resources about this part. It will certainly help educate me.

    make money with stock market

  6. I think that song will be stuck in my head for the rest of the week! If not longer! It's definitely catchy!

It's cool that you're giving up on the tanning for now. I have too.
I heard that pale is the new tan... So you're actually quite hip!

I'm so sorry to hear that your grandmother has regressed. It must be very hard for you and your family. You guys are in my thoughts!

  7. Pat has a knack for coming up with something new everyday at his bay. I really like how he made the collage with all of our avi's. Not too many bloggers would work as hard for their followers as the cat does.

I've never used a recruitment agency, but what have you got to lose? Go ahead and give it a try and if it doesn't work out, chalk it up to experience.

  8. I hope everything goes well with the recruitment agency and they find you something. Anything is possible :)) And continued love and well wishes for your Grandmother. All of you are in my thoughts!! xx

  9. I'm sure you'll find something

-you know I have never gone to a tanning bed, I burn - so I would much rather be pasty white than screaming red

  10. Sorry about your gran, I've been there and know how hard it is. I've never used recruiting agencies but my wife has and found tem hard to get in contact with.

  11. I go to a temp agency, which hires you almost the day you enter.
It's pretty nice and the work isn't always tough.

  12. Oh, great. Now I can't get "Bush With the Tush" out of my head now.
Probably better than "Kids With the Pumped-Up Kicks", though. So, I'm good.

  13. I hope the recruitment agency works out for you, Matthew :)

  14. Thanks for your great information. We all appreciate your information. Keep posting these kind of nice blogs........
